There are many benefits of being bilingual!

Did you know there are MORE bilingual or multilingual people in the world than monolingual? Research has shown multiple cognitive, social, and economic benefits to bilingualism. Proficiency in more than one language improves cognition by increasing one’s ability to make decisions, solve problems, think creatively, and make better sense of linguistic and numerical data.

Proficiency in more than one language improves socialization because the bilingual person has a greater positive self identity, can relate better to different cultures,  and is more likely to pursue higher education.

The economic benefits to bilingualism are also impressive. The demand for bilingual jobs posted through online search engines has more than doubled over the past 5 years and currently one-third of businesses surveyed were seeking bilingual employees. And often, one's salary is higher because of their bilingual abilities!

Alba’s stories will increase one’s bilingualism!

If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart.
